ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AT THE HEART OF THE CITÉ

After two highly successful events, one in London and the other in Paris, The AIPARIS international trade show sets up shop at the Cité de la Mode et du Design on June 11 and 12, 2018. A choice that makes total sense, at a time when the 13th arrondissement is staking its claim as a real innovation hub in Paris.

FEET ON THE GROUND, THE “GRANDS PRIX DE L ́INNOVATION”

On December 12th, the 2017 “Grand Prix de l’innovation” (Innovation Grand Prix) of the City of Paris were given out at the Cité de la Mode et du Design, a partner of this competition. Ten award winners in eight categories received up to 12,000 €, the chance to be part of one of the capital’s official talent incubators, plus a real Parisian cobblestone as a trophy. This prize, created in 2001 by the City of Paris and Paris&Co (the Paris economic development and innovation agency), recognizes research-led start-ups invested in the life and economy of Paris. As part of this innovative springboard, here are four winners that are worth getting to know....

IT’S A DIGITAL WOMAN’S WORLD A TALK WITH DELPHINE REMY-BOUTANG

The 5th edition of Digital Women’s Day (Journée de la femme digitale, JFD) will take place on Thursday, March 9th in the Grand Foyer, in partnership with the Cité de la Mode et du Design. This annual, free event invites both women and men to be bold, to innovate, and become entrepreneurs. Encounters, round-tables, discussions, and other assorted “coding bars” on offer will encourage attendees to seize the moment. All under the leadership of Delphine Remy-Boutang, who spent eleven years at IBM, and who’s a real communications pro. Her key phrase: “Mind the digital gap!”
