As a teenager, he dreamt of becoming a dancer. In the end, he ended up turning to the world of fashion: “I wanted to dress people”, he con des. After spending time as a young designer at Christian Dior, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs, he founded his own brand, AMI, in 2011. This men’s fashion house, with its casual chic style, already has three boutiques in Paris, and is out to conquer the world. Now 36, this designer has just presented his Fall-Winter 2017 collection at the Cité de la Mode et du Design.

IT’S A DIGITAL WOMAN’S WORLD A TALK WITH DELPHINE REMY-BOUTANG

The 5th edition of Digital Women’s Day (Journée de la femme digitale, JFD) will take place on Thursday, March 9th in the Grand Foyer, in partnership with the Cité de la Mode et du Design. This annual, free event invites both women and men to be bold, to innovate, and become entrepreneurs. Encounters, round-tables, discussions, and other assorted “coding bars” on offer will encourage attendees to seize the moment. All under the leadership of Delphine Remy-Boutang, who spent eleven years at IBM, and who’s a real communications pro. Her key phrase: “Mind the digital gap!”

Observeur du Design STARS DESIGN THAT SHINES WITH ITS PRESENCE

For those who keep saying that “everything was better before”, the Cité offers its boundless optimism and its faith in the future. Far from nostalgia and introversion, its program is full of innovation and those who make it happen. Awaiting your discovery here are objects imagined by designers and awarded the Étoiles de l’Observeur du Design, but also how innovation percolates through companies, and thus, permeates our daily lives. And last, but not least, let’s boldly face the digital world! “For a Better World”, this is the promise of the 5th Digital Women’s Day on March 9th, open to all, at the Cité, of course!

THE MOIS DE LA PHOTO IN TRANSFORMATION MODE

With the Mois de la Photo du Grand Paris (Greater Paris Photo Month), now it’s your turn to travel!
